The 2% fee applies to the total amount collected per claim — including Medicare benefits, health fund rebates, and any patient gap payment. For example, if a claim totals $600 (Medicare pays $280, health fund pays $200, patient pays $120 gap), we charge 2% of $600 = $12. There are no monthly fees, no setup costs, and no minimum volume requirements. You're only ever charged when you get paid.

Premium is designed to protect high-volume practitioners. Each month, we calculate your fee two ways: (1) $149 flat, or (2) 1.5% of total claims collected. You pay whichever of those two amounts is lower. So if you have a very busy month and 1.5% of your claims would exceed $149, you only pay $149. If you have a quieter month and 1.5% is less than $149, you pay the lower amount. This means your fee is always capped and always fair.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. There are no penalties or fees for changing plans.

Anaemate uses Stripe as its payment processor. Stripe's standard Australian card processing fee (currently 1.7% + 30¢ per successful card transaction) applies in addition to your Anaemate plan fee. These fees are standard across the industry and are visible on every transaction in your dashboard. Bank transfer and BPAY payments have different (typically lower) processing fees.

Standard plan users can start immediately with no upfront cost — you only pay when you collect a claim. For Premium, we offer a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. For Groups, we offer a customised proof-of-concept period — speak to our sales team for details.

Your data is yours. If you cancel your Anaemate account, you can export all your claim history, patient records, and financial reports in CSV or PDF format. We retain data for 7 years in line with Australian healthcare record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted. You can request a full data export at any time.

Yes, GST applies to Anaemate platform fees (the 2%, 1.5%, or flat monthly fee). Full tax invoices are issued monthly and are available in your account dashboard. Anaemate fees are typically deductible as a business expense — consult your accountant for advice specific to your practice structure.

On the Groups plan, billing is per doctor per month — $99 × the number of doctors in your practice. Each doctor has their own full-featured account, with individual claim management and reporting. The practice administrator also gets a consolidated group view. If a doctor joins or leaves mid-month, billing is prorated to the day.
